Juliette Monaghan - Specialist Teacher
I started my journey as a teacher at ‘Kirkbymoorside Primary School’ where I taught for 5 years. During my time there I taught from Year 1 to Year 6 developing my understanding of the whole primary curriculum. I gained valuable experience taking on the role of SENCo and History Subject Leader.
I am currently Deputy Headteacher at ‘Cayton Primary School’. A very rewarding position where I have the opportunity to manage and lead positive changes throughout school as well as continuing to teach. I have worked at Cayton School for 15 years and during this time have experienced acting headship for 4 terms. I am Literacy and History Leader and Mentor to students.
As a School, we have been on a long journey from ‘requiring improvement’ to our latest ‘Good’ grade (September 2015) from Ofsted. A great deal of hard work, commitment, support and pulling together as a strong team contributed to our positive outcome.
